Dear Brothers,
We are fast approaching the 175th Anniversary of Eta Chapter at the University, the oldest fraternity on Grounds. This is an incredible milestone in Delta Kappa Epsilon annals, and our Alumni Board is planning a three-day celebration on April 15-18, 2027, to celebrate our leadership over the last 175 years at Mr. Jefferson’s University. In addition to honoring our distinguished history, we are cementing our future with an extremely important Capital Campaign to restore our chapter house and endow it with a substantial maintenance fund to carry us forward to our 200th year. The goal is to raise $750,000 and you will receive the full details about the campaign in September.
The DKE house today is thriving with a robust brotherhood of 68 brothers. These are proud and capable young men, who not only enjoy the social pleasures of wearing our colors, but who embrace the principles of honor, leadership, and dedication that have defined Delta Kappa Epsilon since our founding at Virginia in 1852. While much has changed, our traditions remain, and we continue to produce men “firm in purpose, steadfast in ideals, and bright with the promise of future achievements.”
We have a robust slate of events planned for next April to celebrate our 175th Anniversary. In addition to cocktails at the house on Friday and a black-tie Gala at the Boar’s Head on Saturday, there will be a special gathering in the Rotunda on Thursday for our campaign’s leadership donors. Our 175th anniversary gathering will be a once in a lifetime experience, and we implore you to join us as we march forward together to secure the success of our brotherhood for another quarter-century.
