Brothers,
One year ago, this letter announced that we had retaken 125 Chancellor Street. Today, we are happy to report that the Delta chapter is not only rebuilding, but also thriving.
The actives took full advantage of their first full year back in the house. Chapter size grew from 29 to 48 active brothers, the largest single-year growth in living memory. That work was recognized nationally this summer when Delta received True Merit, Alpha Tau Omega’s highest chapter honor, at the 87th National Congress. More on that on the next page.
I want to recognize two transitions. Bennett Aliabadi (Col class of ’27) handed off the gavel after a year that turned this chapter around in ways that were not guaranteed when he took the role. His successor, Worthy Master Tucker Meeks (Engr class of ’27), led recruitment through the growth that made the rest of it possible. Both contributed heavily towards the success the chapter is now enjoying.
A word on what comes next: the hardest part of any comeback is the year after. When the crisis is over and the headlines fade, the discipline that got us here must become the routine that keeps us here. The Capital Campaign is the financial expression of that discipline. We spent $2.3 million to rebuild this house. Sustaining it, and supporting the actives living in it, is the work in front of us. If you gave last year, please give again.
