The Asian Pacific Alumni Network (APAN), a University of Virginia alumni community, is dedicated to celebrating the culture and heritage of the global Asian community and serving its 33,000 alumni. With this significant number of alumni, APAN holds influence, a voice, and the responsibility of utilizing that voice wisely—to benefit not only Asian alumni but also the broader University community.
APAN originated as the Asian and Asian Pacific American Alumni Network (AAPAAN) in 1998. Subsequently, we have transformed into the Asia Pacific Alumni Network, recognizing that some of our alumni community may not have been born or may not be geographically located in the United States.
Our efforts to build a strong alumni network will benefit not only students on Grounds and alumni worldwide, but also the future of Asian and Pacific Islanders at the University. We hope that you will join the APAN mailing list, attend our events, get involved, and support our mission.
