Dear Brothers and Alumni of the Sigma Pi Beta Pi Chapter,
We are excited to reintroduce regular communication between the active brotherhood and alumni of the Sigma Pi Beta Pi Chapter at the University of Virginia. This first edition marks the beginning of a renewed effort to keep our alumni informed, connected, and proud of the chapter they helped build.
Over the past two years—following the December 2024 house fire—Beta Pi has gone through a period of transition, adversity, and rebuilding. Through it all, the brotherhood has remained committed to moving forward. Beta Pi returned to 1533 Virginia Avenue in August 2026—an important moment for both the active chapter and every brother who has called Beta Pi home.
We also want to express our sincere gratitude to the alumni whose support helped carry the chapter through this period. Your donations, guidance, time, and continued belief in Beta Pi have played an invaluable role in keeping the brotherhood alive during one of the most difficult stretches in our recent history. Because of that support, the chapter is now in a position to rebuild stronger; we have robust momentum going forward. We look forward to celebrating this success with you during our Homecoming Alumni Reunion and Open House in October.
In the sections ahead, we will share about the past two years, the state of the brotherhood, recruitment efforts, upcoming events, and more! We are especially proud to share that Beta Pi recently welcomed 16 new brothers, a clear indication of the chapter’s continued growth and momentum.
This newsletter is only the first step in rebuilding consistent communication between the active chapter and our alumni. We are proud of the progress Beta Pi has made, grateful for the brothers who have helped make it possible, and excited to continue sharing the chapter’s progress as we return stronger.
