Parents, welcome to Kappa Kappa Gamma!

Dear Kappa Parents and Families,

Welcome to the Epsilon Sigma Chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma here at UVA! To our returning families, we offer a heartfelt “welcome back.” It is a remarkable testament to the enduring spirit of our chapter that so many of our newest members already share a UVA Kappa legacy with their sisters. We are honored that you’ve shared your daughters with us; they are already making their mark on our traditions of philanthropy, academic rigor, and lifelong sisterhood.

The heart of our chapter remains our beautiful home at 503 Rugby Road. Looking back at our recent Bid Day photos, it’s clear that no place on Grounds offers a warmer welcome. There is truly no better sight than seeing our new members “run down Rugby” to join us on the front porch after an emotional recruitment week. The glitter may eventually fade from the lawn, but the excitement of that moment stays with us all year.

Thirty years ago, a visionary group of Kappa parents established our Parents’ Program. This initiative remains the financial backbone of our chapter, ensuring that Epsilon Sigma continues to thrive for the next generation of women.

Currently, our primary focus is our House Capital Campaign. While our 503 Rugby Road home is more beautiful than ever, the timing of our renovations coincided with a period of high construction costs and fluctuating interest rates. To put the chapter in the strongest possible financial position, our goal is to reduce our debt by $100,000 this year. Achieving this will allow us to refinance more favorably and redirect those resources back into the member experience. Your gift of any amount helps secure the “Kappa Palace” as a sanctuary for our collegians for decades to come.

Beyond our home, Epsilon Sigma remains the only Greek organization on Grounds to offer dedicated, self-funded scholarships. These awards are designed to ensure that the Kappa experience is accessible to every woman we invite into our sisterhood, regardless of financial background. If you are interested in helping with the scholarship campaign, reach out and let’s talk!

Donations to the Kappa Kappa Gamma Capital Campaign can be made through our secure, online donation form. Visit our support page for additional ways to give.
