Deciding to row at Virginia was the best decision I ever made. It led to meeting lifelong friends and to creating lifelong memories. In fact, my memories of college boil down to my memories of Virginia Crew. Rowing for Virginia has also been a big part of my professional career. When I interviewed for my current position, rowing was the highlight of my resume, the topic that my boss talked about the most. I appreciate all that the program has done for me and for my fellow teammates.<\/p>\n

The Nick Marshall Memorial Fund<\/h2>\n

The Nick Marshall Fund supports Virginia Rowing in celebrating the life and legacy of our own Nick Marshall \u201921.<\/span><\/p>\n

Your donation helps, as Nick said, \u201ckeep the boat moving forward,\u201d in many ways for the team. Join us in honoring Nick with a contribution to his fund.<\/p>\n

Rowing Operating Budget<\/h2>\n

Your contribution heads directly into the teams annual Operating Budget. This Fund, combined with the dues paid by each current team member and money raised through fundraising efforts, is what keeps the team up and running on a day-to-day basis.<\/p>\n

Supporting the Operating Budget covers everything big and small that is needed to make the Virginia Rowing magic happen every day, including, but not limited to: equipment and parts, travel and regatta expenses, keeping the lights on at the boathouse and gasoline in the coaching boats. Ultimately, your donation to the Operating Budget is what creates the opportunity for 60 team members to get out on the water each morning.<\/p>\n

The Jake Cusano Memorial Fund<\/h2>\n

Virginia Rowing has established a fund to commemorate the life of one of our own, Jake Cusano \u201916. Please consider making a contribution in Jake’s memory.<\/p>\n

The Jake Cusano fund will be used to assist those athletes who are unable to pay all of their annual dues and expenses (about $2000). VRA aims for every athlete who makes the team to be able to row, regardless of his\/her ability to pay. Jake’s fund makes that vision a reality.<\/p>\n
