This spring, the scholarship trustees achieved their goal of raising a $200,000 endowment from hundreds of donors (many of them Theta Chi brothers) in just 6 years. The scholarship now has the ability to award $10,000 each year in perpetuity to a deserving undergraduate student who best exemplifies Quent. Thanks to all who have supported the scholarship over the years!<\/p>\n<p>This past April, the scholarship was awarded to Alexis Foster, a rising third-year Comm School student from Chesapeake, Virginia. Alexis serves as Treasurer and Fundraising Committee Co-Chair for Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, and as Vice-Chair for the Financial Accessibility Committee in UVA\u2019s Student Council.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The alumni board continues to support the Quent Alcorn Memorial Scholarship in memory of our brother who passed in 2015.
