As the girls returned to their former abode to be welcomed as Theta alumnae, a wave of nostalgia washed over the house. After everyone partook in the light refreshments \u2013 caprese skewers, fruit and sparkling water \u2013 Margaret Branton (\u201916) performed the ritual portion of the event. Margaret\u2019s words spawned further nostalgia, as she encouraged members to reflect on their time as Delta Chi collegians, and prompted them to consider their futures as alumnae: \u201cJust as in all other relationships in life, the more of your love and effort you put into your Fraternity, the more it will mean to you, both now and in the years to come.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Following the ritual, fourth years made themselves comfortable for the reading of \u201cFourth Year Letters.\u201d A Delta Chi tradition, fourth year letters are submitted by parents during members\u2019 fourth year, and are meant to reflect their daughters\u2019 time as Thetas. The letters are read by the fourth years\u2019 \u201clittles\u201d each year. Some included photos to tell their stories, and others were written as poems. Tears and laughter filled the room, as the letters offered both sentimental and funny anecdotes of the girls\u2019 time at UVA. The letters reflected the astounding diversity in the room \u2013 soccer players, Cav Daily editor-in-chief, and Fourth Year Trustees among them.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure style=\"width: 234px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www3.alumni.virginia.edu\/multimedia\/aig\/kat\/img\/news_0614\/5_-_1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www3.alumni.virginia.edu\/multimedia\/aig\/kat\/img\/news_0614\/5_-_1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"234\" height=\"302\" \/><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">The spring semester was especially nostalgic for the fourth years, who spent more time together than ever.
