We are excited to welcome generations of Beta Pi alumni back to Charlottesville for a Homecoming weekend celebrating our brotherhood, our renewed connection across generations, and our long-awaited return to 1533 Virginia Avenue.
Alumni & Undergraduate Reunion
Friday, October 9 | 7:30–11:00 p.m.
The Graduate Charlottesville | Second-Level Game Room
Join alumni, undergraduate brothers, spouses, and guests for an evening of reconnecting and celebrating Beta Pi. The indoor-outdoor Game Room will be arranged banquet-style and will feature an open bar, heavy appetizers, and music.
The dress code is semi-formal, and dates are encouraged to attend. With at least 100 guests expected, this will be one of the largest gatherings of Beta Pi brothers in recent years. We hope alumni from every era of the chapter will join us, reconnect with old friends, and meet the undergraduate brothers carrying Beta Pi forward today.
Welcome Back to 1533
Saturday, October 10 | TBD, Pending Official Game Time
1533 Virginia Avenue
Before Virginia takes on Syracuse, the undergraduate brothers will host an open house for alumni and their families at our newly restored chapter home.
For many alumni, this will be the first opportunity in years to walk through 1533, revisit old memories, see the renovations, and meet the brothers who will once again call the house home. After everything the chapter has experienced since the December 2024 fire, welcoming our alumni back through the doors of 1533 will be an especially meaningful moment.
The exact open-house time will be announced in a separate newsletter once the official kickoff time for the Syracuse game is released. We will coordinate closely with alumni hosting tailgates so that brothers and their families have enough time to tour the house before making their way to their respective gatherings and the game.

A Special Thank-You
This Homecoming weekend would not be possible without the extraordinary efforts of several dedicated alumni.
We extend our deepest gratitude to John Ayers (Col class of ’97) and Eric Tracy (Com class of ’97), who have taken the lead in arranging and generously funding the Friday evening alumni and undergraduate reunion at the Graduate. Their generosity has created an incredible opportunity for brothers from across generations to reconnect, celebrate the chapter’s progress, and strengthen the bonds of Beta Pi.
We would also like to recognize Brian Roy (Col class of ’94) and Axel Tarnvik (Engr class of ’15) for their tremendous work preparing both the chapter house and the undergraduate chapter for this long-awaited Homecoming weekend. Their leadership, time, and commitment have been essential to making our return to 1533 possible and ensuring that the house is ready to welcome alumni and their families.
These gentlemen, and many other Beta Pi alumni have each contributed in different but equally important ways. The undergraduate brothers have tremendous respect and appreciation for everything they have done to bring Beta Pi back together. We look forward to celebrating their efforts—and the future of our chapter—with everyone this October.
