Below are a list of activities and events for you to enjoy over the course of the weekend.<\/p>\n<h2>Friday, October 15<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Afternoon Golf<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Anyone interested in playing golf on Friday, please send an email to <a href=\"mailto:sfitz@mmwcd.net\">Skip Fitz<\/a>. He will keep a list and get back with you when we get about one week out and can make tee times at a course in Charlottesville.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Friday Night Reception<\/strong><br \/>\n6 &#8211; 10pm, Starr Hill Brewery, 946 Grady Ave.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Brewery is located within the Dairy Market Building (~0.4 mile walk from the Hampton Inn).<\/li>\n<li>Outside seating is unreserved.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>&#8220;Class Dinners&#8221; &#8211; on your own<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>Saturday, October 16<\/h2>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/alumni.virginia.edu\/learn\/program\/the-illimitable-freedom-of-the-human-mind-thomas-jeffersons-idea-of-a-university\/\">The Illimitable Freedom of the Human Mind: Thomas Jefferson\u2019s Idea of a University<\/a><\/strong><br \/>\n10-11am, UVA Alumni Hall, Ballroom<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Join Andrew O&#8217;Shaughnessy, Saunders Director of the Robert H. Smith International Studies at Monticello, discuss his most recent book which focuses on the life and accomplishments of Thomas Jefferson.\u00a0 In addition to his work at Monticello, Mr. O&#8217;Shaughnessy is a history professor here at UVA.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a class=\"button\" href=\"https:\/\/www.eventbrite.com\/e\/the-illimitable-freedom-of-the-human-mind-jeffersons-idea-of-a-university-registration-166079059939\">Register for the Book Discussion<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Wine Tasting Tour<\/strong><br \/>\n1-4pm<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thatchwinery.com\/\">Thatch Winery\u00a0<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.virginiawineworks.com\/\">Michael Schaps Wineworks<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Both wineries are within a 30 minute drive of Charlottesville. Located off of Route 20 on Harris Creek Way. Self guided Tasting tours at both wineries will be between 1 and 4 P. M. They are subject to any COVID-19 restrictions in place at the winery so please be flexible.<\/li>\n<li>Outside seating unreserved.<\/li>\n<li>Howard Siegel and Merry will be at the Thatch Winery around 1 PM. For those that don\u2019t know what he looks like\u2026He will be wearing a Purple SAM 50th Reunion baseball cap. We have had about 6 people express an interest as an alternative to the attending the football game.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Welcome Back Alumni Party<\/strong><br \/>\nParty starts at 4:30pm<\/p>\n<p>Come and enjoy food and drinks with the current brothers and alumni in the front and back of the house!<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>COVID-19 protocols will be implemented for food and drink service.<\/li>\n<li>Bartenders are being arranged and ABC regulations will apply. <strong>Cash only.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>All alumni and guests must register for this event.
