Greetings from 160 Madison Lane! With graduation now behind us, we bid our fourth-year pledge class farewell and wish them the best of luck as they steam ahead in life. Looking back on a year of fantastic house events, bowl games, and two national championship titles, it\u2019s clear that we have much for which to be thankful. And among these blessings is the new crop of young gentlemen who decided to join our chapter this spring.<\/p>\n

Member Spotlight \u2013 Sunday Gravity<\/strong><\/p>\n

Pictured to the left is our chapter\u2019s house band, Sunday Gravity, who has in the past two years played at venues throughout Virginia. Members of the band include fourth-year brothers Adin Mengel (left), Jack Copeland (right), and John Tyson (top), as well as third-year John Gardner (bottom). Brothers Tyson and Gardner will be returning to UVA for another year of playing.<\/p>\n

Ike Formal<\/strong><\/p>\n

Our chapter celebrated its fourth consecutive \u201cIke Formal\u201d event at Sherwood farms this spring. Named for the late house chef, Isaac Curry, this unique event is our chapter\u2019s way of remembering and celebrating everything that Ike brought to Virginia Omicron.<\/p>\n

Each brother invited a date as well as another guest couple. Special thanks to John and Audrey Lewis (parents of fourth year, Jack, who is our chapter\u2019s philanthropy chairman) for hosting the event for the fourth straight year.<\/p>\n

Paddy Murphy<\/strong><\/p>\n

Another notable event from the spring semester is our chapter\u2019s Paddy Murphy day party. This year, we invited Sunday Gravity and C2 & Brothers Reed bands to play for a day of celebration that is traditional for SAE chapters countrywide.<\/p>\n

What a semester it has been in Charlottesville! Excitement has filled the air this spring as the Wahoos brought home the national title in basketball and lacrosse, and Virginia Omicron welcomed another large class of new members into the house.<\/p>\n

As always we welcome your engagement and support of the chapter\u2014whether in the form of rush recommendations, sharing an update, or simply stopping by for a gathering at 160 Madison Lane during Reunions or football season.<\/p>\n

If you are moved to support the chapter, as a token of our appreciation, for donations of $200 of more we would like to send you commemorative glasses (set of 4) featuring none other than the Eminent Hoss, Ike Curry.<\/p>\n

Your support not only helps us maintain the property but also helps in other ways such as working with the Alumni Hall Interest Groups and attending SAE conferences, to name a few.<\/p>\n
