QVA, UVA’s Queer Alumni Network, formally invites you to mark your calendars for the 2026 Gala Weekend in Charlottesville, from Friday, August 28, through Sunday, August 30. We look forward to building community among alumni, students, faculty, and staff, and celebrating incredible leaders.
Full details and an RSVP link will be sent out in the coming weeks, but for now, you can reserve your stay in the QVA room block at the new Kimpton Forum Hotel, where the Gala dinner will be hosted.
During this turbulent time, it is more important than ever for us to stand strong together. QVA continues our work unceasingly. We are partnering with the Alumni Association to hold a Lavender Graduate Reception for graduating students, and we are awarding more in scholarships than ever before to ensure the LGBTQ+ community on Grounds feels supported and celebrated. We are also continuing to build alumni community around the country:
- Earlier this year we hosted events in Los Angeles and San Francisco.
- On May 19, we’ll be holding a mixer in Washington, D.C., at Number Nine from 6-8 p.m. EST. — Register today!
- We’ll have Reunions events on Friday, June 5, and Saturday, May 6. If you are in or around Charlottesville that weekend, please celebrate with us!
- Later this year, we will hold events in NYC and Seattle.
Thank you for all that you do to support our community.
Wahoowa!
