We hope you’ll join us in Charlottesville from the evening of Friday October 31 through the afternoon of Sunday November 2 for QVA’s 26th annual Fall Weekend!
Last year we were joined by over 100 alumni, students, faculty, and staff, and we are excited to once again commit to LGBTQ+ progress at UVA and celebrate the people who are making it happen amidst a very challenging external environment.
Please RSVP and take advantage of early bird ticket prices, including Young Alumni tickets, until September 1!
We have an exciting schedule of events planned for the weekend:
Friday, October 31
- Welcome reception and Halloween costume party: 7-9 p.m. at the UVA LGBTQ Center, Newcomb Hall
Saturday, November 1
- Mayes Lunch recognizing recently retired Dean of Students Cedric Rucker: 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the new Contemplative Commons at UVA
- Awards Gala, Cocktails, and Dinner: 5:30 – 10 p.m. at the Omni Hotel on the Downtown Mall, featuring this year’s awardees.
Sunday, November 2
- Farewell brunch: 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at The Wool Factory
- o Featuring a remembrance of Dr. Jeff Reider, who with his husband, Chuck Otis, founded the first major LGBTQ+ scholarship at UVA, now in its 20th year
