Please call and secure your lodging ASAP as fall is a busy time in Charlottesville.

We have reserved a room block with the newly renovated Omni hotel (the location of the Gala on the Downtown Mall). Book your room today!

Attire

Most guests typically wear business attire for the Gala dinner, but we want everyone to feel comfortable at our events. Other weekend events are at guests’ discretion, though business casual is commonly worn. A little flair is certainly welcome!

We want everyone to have a safe and enjoyable time this weekend. Please ensure the well-being and safety of yourself and those around you. If you choose to enjoy wine or beer, please be sure not to overindulge and make certain that you do not drive. If for any reason or at any time you feel uncomfortable or unsafe, please find a member of the QVA Board of Directors so that the situation can be addressed.

Registration

Registration for QVA’s 26th Annual Fall Weekend is now open with early bird pricing running through September 21, 2025. Registration for the weekend is all-inclusive.

If you are a student who is interested in attending, please reach out to operations@queervirginia.org. We are proactively reaching out to LGBTQ+ student leaders and QVA Scholarship winners to coordinate complementary invitations to Fall Weekend.

Friday

  • Trick or Treating on the Lawn (UVA-sponsored): Time TBA
  • QVA Welcome Reception and Halloween Costume Party: 7-9 p.m. at the UVA LGBTQ Center, Newcomb Hall

Saturday

  • Mayes Award Winner Lunch: 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the new Contemplative Commons at UVA
  • Awards Gala Cocktails and Dinner: 6:30-10 p.m. at the Omni Hotel on the Downtown Mall
