Psi Chapter of Phi Sigma Kappa was founded at the University of Virginia in 1907. After closing during the Great Depression, the chapter was rechartered in 1953 by a local fraternity called the Column Club.
The original chapter’s last house in the Lewis Mountain neighborhood is now part of Alumni Hall. Since 1958, the chapter has been located at 1702 Gordon Avenue in the Venable neighborhood of Charlottesville.
The brothers of Psi Chapter are guided by the three cardinal principles of Phi Sigma Kappa – promoting brotherhood, stimulating scholarship, and developing character. They pursue these principles through various chapter activities, involvement in the university community, and participation in a broad range of student and local organizations.
