Lodge Alumni Brothers,
In early November, we requested the support of Omicron alumni to pay down the principal of our current mortgage by $175,000 in advance of a spike in our interest rate that will become effective in March of this new year. THANK YOU to the 40 alumni brothers (and spouses) that have contributed thus far to this worthy cause. Through your generosity, we have received over $72,000 in alumni donations, which will be supplemented by a $25,000 grant from the Chi Psi Educational Trust this month.
While this is excellent progress, we are still well short of the fundraising goal. We need additional support from our alumni to achieve our ultimate goal – to keep Chi Psi at UVA financially competitive with other fraternities both now and in the future.
Thus, we are asking for those who have not yet contributed to make a tax-deductible gift to Alpha Omicron before the end of February to help fill this gap. Donations can be made through the UVA Alumni Association Chi Psi donation page or the Chi Psi Educational Trust Alpha Omicron fund.
