Dear Brothers,<\/p>\n

The Beach is open, the semester is underway, and as always\u2026 Elmo makes the world go \u2018round.<\/p>\n

With students back on Grounds and energy buzzing, we\u2019re thrilled our most recent major renovation is complete.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Thanks to the City\u2019s requirement we meet their code and the fire marshal\u2019s insistence (as well as a significant investment), the Beach is structurally over-built, and fully up to current code with a proper doorway (ARB approved) and additional egress via an exterior rear staircase. No more crawling through windows and, most importantly, everyone can enjoy the space safely for decades to come. We added a drink ledge\u00a0\u2014 again, to meet code\u00a0\u2014 so no more balancing drinks on the railing. New Rule: no glass is allowed on the Elmo Beach.<\/p>\n

As alumni, we know this house is more than bricks and mortar\u00a0\u2014 it\u2019s our shared history and future.<\/strong> While the updates were costly, they were absolutely necessary to protect our 100+ year-old historic home.<\/p>\n

And now? The Beach is open, safe, and ready for another year of memories. We\u2019ve included a photo of a few undergrads enjoying it this week\u00a0\u2014 proof that your support keeps our traditions strong.<\/p>\n
