Last Call to Register for the Echols Scholars Reunion!

Dear Echols alumni,

Join us in Charlottesville March 20-21, 2026, as we celebrate the Echols Scholars Program’s 65th Anniversary Reunion! Ticket sales are ending soon, so be sure to purchase yours before the March 7 deadline.

Note: If bringing a guest, please select two tickets in your bracket. If your guest is a UVA alumnus, fill in their corresponding information. If your guest is not a UVA alumnus, please select “N/A” in the fields that follow.

This milestone event will feature something for everyone whether you’re interested in tours, panels and lectures, or meeting current scholars. See below for a sample of some of the anniversary events to add to your schedule:

Friday Afternoon: Stories from Echols Across the Decades

  • Join us Friday, March 20, at the Forum Hotel for a panel discussion on Echols’ impact across the decades with a keynote by Tim Ingrassia (Col class of ’86). Evening reception to follow!

Saturday Morning: Resilience and the Liberal Arts in Changing Times

  • Bob Witeck (Col class of ’74) will moderate a panel of Echols alumni including Judge Barbara Lynn (Col class of ’74), Abby Fifer Mandell (Col class of ’02), and Bobby Doyle (Col class of ’17), as well as current Echols Scholar Gregory Perryman (Col class of ’26).
  • Afterward, join current Echols Scholars for coffee and conversation! Hear about life on Grounds today and their future career plans.

Saturday Afternoon: Teaching at UVA After Echols

  • Hear from Jeanine Braithwaite (Col class of ’82), Jahan Ramazani (Col class of ’82), Karen James (Col class of ’82) and Ricardo Padron (Col class of ’89) on life at the University as UVA faculty members and Echols scholars alumni.

Accommodations

We have secured a block of rooms at The Forum Hotel with a discount off the regular, refundable rate. When selecting your room, you’ll see this discount applied under the “Catering” rate.
