{"id":5094,"date":"2025-06-18T15:59:48","date_gmt":"2025-06-18T19:59:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aig.alumni.virginia.edu\/dke\/?p=5094"},"modified":"2025-06-18T15:59:48","modified_gmt":"2025-06-18T19:59:48","slug":"save-the-date-dke-175th-anniversary","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aig.uvaalumni.org\/dke\/2025\/06\/save-the-date-dke-175th-anniversary\/","title":{"rendered":"Save the Date: DKE 175th Anniversary"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 style=\"text-align: center\">Save the Date<br \/>\nDKE 175th Anniversary<br \/>\nApril 15-18, 2027<\/h2>\n<p>Dear Brothers,<\/p>\n<p>Eta Chapter will <strong>celebrate its 175th anniversary<\/strong> at The University in less than two years and planning is already underway for a robust slate of events to commemorate this landmark milestone. <strong>Please mark your calendars now and reserve the weekend of April 15-18, 2027<\/strong>, to ensure that you are available to participate in the festivities. It is important that we have a strong attendance across the generations, and we hope you will start making plans with your pledge class now to help us build excitement for the celebration of Virginia\u2019s oldest fraternity. The main gala will take place on Saturday, April 17 at the Boar\u2019s Head Inn and our room block is already open for registration.<\/p>\n<p>We will acknowledge our longstanding achievement as one of the leading fraternities on Grounds with a major fundraiser to restore the severely weathered wood infrastructure in the house. This will include extensive renovations to the floors, stairs, banisters and windows, as well as other foundational improvements. With your support, our historic home will receive a full renovation that preserves its antiquity and charts the path forward as we march towards our 200th year.<\/p>\n<p>More information will follow as we get closer to the event, but it will be a superb weekend of camaraderie as we honor the proud history and strong future of Eta Chapter.<\/p>\n<p>In the Bonds,<br \/>\nC.
