Delta was one of 30 chapters selected nationwide. Worthy Master, <strong>Tucker Meeks (<abbr title=\"School of Engineering and Applied Science\">Engr<\/abbr> <span class=\"visually-hidden\">class of <\/span>\u201927)<\/strong> and Vice President, <strong>Andrew Spinnanger (<abbr title=\"School of Engineering and Applied Science\">Engr<\/abbr> <span class=\"visually-hidden\">class of <\/span>\u201928)<\/strong> (Beta Iota), accepted the award on behalf of the chapter.<\/p>\n<p>True Merit is not an award for a single strong semester; it recognizes sustained performance across the disciplines that define a functioning chapter: new member recruitment, community service, philanthropy, alumni relations, financial literacy, demonstration of the Ritual, and social and community engagement. The financial support that put the actives back in 125 Chancellor is the same support that made recruiting, philanthropy, and chapter operations possible at the level the national fraternity just rewarded. Worthy Master Meeks put it plainly in his report to the chapter:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThank you for all of your unwavering support throughout the years of hardship. The Thomas Arkle Clark recognition is reserved for the fraternity\u2019s most accomplished graduating seniors, drawn from chapters across the country, and it weighs academic achievement, professionalism, and service to the chapter. JP earned it over four years at the University. He is also not an outlier\u2014recognition like this is what happens when you fill a house with men of his caliber, and this house is full of them.<\/p>\n<p>The actives are treating True Merit as a standard to hold rather than a trophy to shelve. In Tucker\u2019s words, the job is not finished.
