AAPAAN wants your input!
We launched the AAPI Advancement Award in the spring of 2022 to honor current UVA faculty members who have made significant contributions towards greater understanding and appreciation of Asian culture or Asian-American relations. We were thrilled by the strong support of the AAPI alumni community for the award since its inauguration, and we want to make the 2026 award our most inclusive yet - so once again we are asking you to nominate, and then help select, the best candidate for this special honor. The recipient will receive a Jefferson Cup and $1,000!
The nomination form for the 2026 AAPI Advancement Award is now live and can be accessed through February 13, 2026! Once the survey results have been tallied, we will send a follow up link where you can vote.
We plan to present this year’s award on April 25, 2026, during Asian Alumni Weekend. We are super excited about this year’s celebration, and we really can’t do it without your support. Please help us make this event a success, both with your nomination and with your vote.
